Resiliency is when you can take difficult moments and find greater meaning. While needles and syringes are unpleasant to most people (and extremely awful to some), they can also be used as tools to create something spontaneous and colorful.

Full disclosure: These are leftover syringes from two rounds of IVF egg retrieval treatments that I underwent, and the video was shot on my 40th birthday, doubling as a ritual to feel more empowered in the midst of such an arduous process.

Writing Ritual

Imagine that you are the main character in a story: what trials & tribulations have you already managed to get through? Even if your main character currently feels beaten down and nearly destroyed, what are they doing to manage to keep going?

Now imagine that you are the author of this story: what would you want the main character to do next or to realize next? What new revelation or insight would help progress their character arc? If the main character's hope is lost, how do they reconnect with hope again? How do they find the inner strength to keep going? What would triumph look like?
