According to a certain red book, I was born during the Cusp of Exposure: "self-concealment is futile: the more [you] try to hide, the more the world seems to take notice of [you]." It's true that I grapple with my dueling natures of wanting to hide and wanting to be seen. In parallel, making artwork requires these opposing forces: work is made in solitude but then must be brought before an audience.

I am also struck by people who are willing to post selfie after selfie on Facebook but then get furious when they perceive their privacy violated (which we all know is unavoidable in the age of endless internet).
