In front of you stands that person whom you know, with whom you are familiar, but for the life of you, you can’t remember their name. They remain anonymous, but you “know” them all the same.

There are faces that you will never forget: your mother’s, your father’s, siblings, relatives, beloveds, your own children. But to most everyone else, these faces are still anonymous. Your grandmother is just another woman in a vintage polaroid.
Then there are faces for which all eyes are on them, because they are in the movies. Their 15 minutes of fame is a bright flame that fades all too quickly, and years later, hardly anyone knows their names. Even the famous can be relegated to what’s-her-face and that-one-guy status.

So many faces pass through our lifetimes. In this series, what makes a face seem familiar makes it captivating, no matter if you actually know the person or not. Furthermore, the wine stains remind us to cherish the faces that make life beautiful to us, before they fade, knowing that all eventually fades away.
