For Posterity 27/09/2011
I was hoping to have my apartment be a part of the "Apartment Tour" on Market St., but, unfortunately, my landlords frowned upon the idea (for good reasons). Currently, I am very proud of my bathroom. I want to show it off!! So, I posted a photo on facebook last night, thinking people would find the absurdity of it amusing... Moreover, years later, when I get all nostalgic (and if I still have this blog and this website) and read through archived posts, I can chuckle a bit myself. (David Bowie, eat your heart out.) Now, with my new work room overlooking Market Street and the frothy wake of the weekend surge of drunks, I have begun drawing at night again - something I haven't done since The Dreampartment on Pine Street. Here are my first (and humbling) results: Super concise two-month recap:
X Marks the Spot @ Reading Frenzy![]() "Réaumur Sébastopol" I've sent along this small embroidered piece to a group show in honor of Reading Frenzy's 17th Birthday. If you don't already know about this rad bookstore, then check it out here. The opening is tonight, and obviously, I would love to be there--and I will be, but just in spirit. Note: This is my version of the Paris Métro map; the X (embroidered using my own hair) marks a particular stop where a particular escalator has a particular brand of escalator friction jazz music (at least it did last January) that made me particularly happy.
